The Living Earth, World Alchemy, and
the Planetary Chakras

Earth...
In rapid flight to summerland...
Fire on Fire within its beak,
Master-flinging shadowstreak,
Uproots from startled swan
One blink of eye
More ancient than midnight sky
And younger than the dawn...

What is an earth chakra?

Briefly, an earth chakra is a dynamic centre of life and energy emanating from the body of the Living Earth.

How many earth chakras are there?

There are 12 sites that serve as the Foundation of a Greater Structure. Six of these sites are permanent earth chakras, and one chakra is mobile - Seven Earth Chakras in total. The remaining sites are comprised of Elemental Spinner Wheels and centres of Outstanding Vitality. The initial 12 Foundation Sites generate a further 144 Sacred Sites (12+144=156) over Four Time Cycles, from 1989 until 2065.

Where are earth chakras located?

Each continent, with the exception of Antarctica, is home to one of the Major Earth Chakras. (Antarctica does, however, have its own unique energy sites.)

The Six Permanent Earth Chakras

Glastonbury-Shaftesbury, and also Uluru-Kata Tjuta, are dual chakras.

The Mobile Earth Chakra

The Four Spinner Wheels

Spinner Wheels regulate the flow of energy around the globe through the Two Great Dragon Pathways of the Rainbow Serpent and Plumed Serpent. These two great dragons are Major Ley Arteries of the Living Earth.

The 13th Centre of Synthesis

The successful activation of the 12 Foundation Sites opens a 13th centre on the European continent by April-May 2008. This centre synthesises all the qualities of the 12 Foundation Sites. Its location is:

Do the earth chakras move?

Each Earth Chakra has a geometrical centre which is fixed. The chakras do not move their centres. They do expand and contract. This is shown on the maps by the size of the circles drawn around the centres. As a chakra develops, its radius expands. An active earth chakra generates a complex movement of energies over a large geographical area. If all 156 centres were fully activated, the average radius for the 156 circles would be 777 miles (1250.46 kilometres). Some would be less than this, others would be greater. The radius of a spinner wheel, for instance Table Mountain, could extend for 1746 miles, (2809.91 kilometres) for example.

How can I contribute to earth chakra work?

At the present time, it is difficult for most people to visit a major earth chakra. The easiest way to participate in this work is to observe the new and full moons considered most auspicious for each chakra - dates and times are given in the Earth Chakra Calendar. Try to meditate for an hour, and imagine that you are giving and receiving positive qualities and energies to and from the earth chakra.

It is helpful to collect pictures, myths, and information about the site. Notice if world news stories develop around the time of the new and full moons, and look for stories which match the region of the earth chakra being activated. An analysis of these stories will help you to see what forces are being evoked from the chakras, and what forces need to be better generated. Specific trouble spots around the earth are easily identified by tuning into the local news and current affairs of an area located in or near to a major sacred site. Where there are problems in the world, there is sure to be a blockage in the chakra system somewhere...

Alchemy, the Living Earth, and the Great Work.

The Living Earth has a True Will, or evolutionary purpose, to raise the quality and frequency of life, in all its variety. The direction is clearly physical immortality - the overcoming of entropy, decay, and death. If you want to contribute to the increase of liberty, life, love, and luminous wisdom in the world, then working with Earth Chakras is an ideal place to start.

The Twelve Foundation Sites

The 12 red circles shown on the map are the 12 Foundation Sites for the Complete Planetary Chakra Structure and were the first to be activated. Between 1989 and 2065, the 12 generate a further 144 sacred sites:

a Grand Total of 156 Radiant Sacred Jewels of the World. For a list of the 156 see 156 Sacred Jewels.
